Instructions
Apply a 20 to 30 mil coating for best results to desired area. The substrate should be free from grease, oil, and particulates. Drying times depend on ambient humidity. Under normal conditions, WonderMASK P is ready for preheating stage in 1 hour, however, cure can be accelerated to 30 minutes at 65°C/150°F or 20 minutes at 82°C/180°F. Do not over cure, as blistering of mask can occur, causing removal problems. Mask will change from an opaque pink to a translucent red when complete cure is accomplished. Mask does not have to be completely cured to withstand soldering operation; however, it should be completely translucent before removal.

FAQ
-
Q. Temporary solder mask:
What could cause foaming problems during rinse-off of the water- soluble masks?A. Particulates + surfactants during rinse = foam. Check filtration system or drain & recharge the rinse water system as necessary. The particulates may come from various sources, but excess solder flux being rinsed off the boards is a prime culprit. Bacteria in the water can cause foaming. Have a water sample analyzed. -
Q. Temporary solder mask:
Will our peelable mask withstand the peak lead-free soldering temperatures of 316° C (600° F.)?A. We have tested all our masks at temperatures of 316° C (600° F.) for 3 minutes exposure with no degradation.
