ESD hand lotion improves contact between personnel and grounding devices such as wrist straps and heel straps. Does not contain silicone, lanolin, mineral oil and other materials found in conventional hand lotions that can interfere with PCB manufacturing. Blend of moisturizers, aloe vera, and vitamins A and E penetrate rapidly leaving skin soft without a greasy film.

Zero Charge Hand Lotion does not contain benzalkonium chloride (BZK).
Does Hand Lotion have dimethicone (dimethylpolysiloxane) or any other type of silicone?

No, Hand Lotion does not contain any type of silicone or other ingredients like lanoline that could migrate and impede solderability of solder joints and contacts. Hand Lotion is engineered for use around electronic assembly and rework, unlike lotions commonly available from consumer retail stores.

How do I figure out the shelf life of a product?

The shelf life of a product can be found on either the technical data sheet (TDS), available on the product page, or by looking on the certificate on conformance (COC). The COC can be downloaded by going to Once you have the shelf life, you will need to add it to the manufacture date for a use-by date. The manufacture date can be identified by the batch number. The batch code used on most of our products are manufacture dates in the Julian Date format. The format is YYDDD, where YY = year, DDD = day.
